Chris Geyer
With a Ph.D. in computer vision and over two decades of experience in both academia and industry, Chris has built a career focused on pushing the boundaries of robotics, autonomy, and AI technologies.
Prior to founding BaseType Engineering, Chris played a pivotal role in launching Berkshire Grey, a robotics company that transformed logistics operations. He helped grow the organization from a startup to a publicly-traded leader in the robotics space, driving product development, innovation, and customer success. His previous work includes research at UC Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, and iRobot, where he led R&D teams working on autonomous systems, machine learning, and advanced robotics.
His expertise in translating complex technology into tangible, impactful solutions has allowed him to successfully deliver products and close large deals with high-profile clients.
